5 ways to spend Australia Day in Canterbury-Bankstown

Splash into summer
Make a splash this summer at our Australia Day Pool Parties!
Enjoy a free sausage sizzle, fun kids’ craft activities, a live DJ, garden water games and plenty more.
There’s a $2 entry fee at all Leisure and Aquatic Centres, so bring your mates, family and good vibes!
The fun will be happening at Roselands, Revesby (Max Parker), Birrong Leisure and Aquatic Centres, and Greenacre Splash Park. All venues are accessible with ramps and toilets, so everyone can join in on the fun!
Don’t forget your sunscreen, hat, swimmers, sunglasses and towel. And remember, it’s always good to take breaks in the shade or cover up to stay safe in the sun.

Encounter reptiles up close
Head to the Reception Area at Canterbury League Club from 12pm to 2pm to meet some awesome Aussie reptiles!
Brett Peters, the reptile handler, will introduce each animal one by one in a relaxed ‘pat & chat’ style. He’ll talk all about them, answer your questions, and give you the chance to snap some pics or even give them a pat (don’t worry, it’s all safe!).
You’ll get to meet a variety of reptiles, including lizards, pythons (both small and big), a turtle, a frog and even a crocodile.
Don’t be shy—there’s always room for a few volunteers to join in the fun! Come along and get up close with some amazing creatures!
