Banh Mi Bay Ngo isn’t just a local favourite — it’s a Bankstown icon.
This family-run spot has been serving up next-level Vietnamese rolls for over 30 years. Originally called Jasmine’s Ice Cream, then Jasmine’s Takeaway, it was renamed Bay Ngo by co-owner Jasmine Dinh in honour of her dad before he passed.
‘Bay’ means ‘seven’ in Vietnamese (he was the seventh uncle), and ‘Ngo’ was his name — a beautiful tribute to a man whose love of food shaped the shop’s legacy.
Their banh mi is the real deal: think crunchy bread, rich house-made pâté and mayo, fresh pickled veggies, chilli and that legendary barbecue pork.
Every bite hits just right — it’s no wonder people rave about it across Sydney.
