Our city is proudly shaped by three remarkable rivers — the Cooks River, Georges River and Duck River.
These waterways bring together nature, wildlife, history and vibrant community spaces.
The Cooks River blends rich heritage with ongoing environmental renewal. The Georges River showcases incredible biodiversity and stunning natural scenery. The Duck River is growing through inspiring wetland restoration and revitalisation projects.
Join us in celebrating We Love Our Rivers with exciting community events, including kayaking, guided walks, outdoor yoga, bat watching and clean-up days.
Get involved, explore your local waterways and show your love for our rivers!
