Celebrate the 14th Lebanese Film Festival Australia with an inspiring opening night at the Bryan Brown Theatre in Bankstown!

The festival showcases the richness of Lebanese storytelling, creativity and culture through film.

This special launch event brings together filmmakers and community members for an evening of cinema, great food and cultural connection.

Since 2012, the volunteer-run festival has grown into the world’s largest showcase of Lebanese film, championing diverse voices and stories from Lebanon and its diaspora.

Under the patronage of acclaimed Australian actor Bryan Brown AM, the festival continues its proud tradition of bringing world-class Lebanese storytelling to Australian audiences.

Pre-show reception

Before the screening begins, join us for an evening of Lebanese hospitality, delicious food and live entertainment.

  • Enjoy authentic Lebanese canapes, freshly prepared and served by Tayta’s Food Co.

Now in its 14th year, and under the patronage of acclaimed Australian actor Bryan Brown AM, the festival continues to bring communities together through a diverse program of award-winning films, filmmaker conversations and cultural experiences across Australia.

  • 6.30pm: Opening Night Reception: Canapes, drinks and live entertainment
  • 7.45pm: Theatre Doors Open
  • 8.10pm: Official Opening Night Formalities
  • 8.30pm (approx.): TVC’s & Feature Screening: Disorder (91 min)

An award-winning, darkly satirical indie anthology from four of Lebanon’s boldest filmmakers Lucien Bourjeily, Wissam Charaf, Bane Fakih and Areej Mahmoud, Disorder captures a nation in freefall with wit, humanity and defiance – executive produced by Nadine Labaki and Khaled Mouzanar.
