Counterfeit is a bold new collaboration between Naarm/Melbourne choreographer and dance technologist Alisdair Macindoe and Dance Makers Collective’s Future Makers.

This site-responsive dance performance transforms Bankstown Arts Centre into a live experiment where art meets AI.

Eighteen dynamic performers from Future Makers respond in real time to an AI choreographer’s directions—audiences can even peek behind the scenes by scanning QR codes on the dancers’ futuristic costumes.

Inspired by Macindoe’s acclaimed work Plagiary, Counterfeit explores who’s really in control—humans or machines.

Experience a thrilling fusion of movement, technology and creative invention, right here at Bankstown Arts Centre.
