Candles on the River

Celebrate our Cooks River with a special Mudcrabs Candles on the River launch at dusk.

Float a paper candle boat, soak up the atmosphere and enjoy live tunes from local blues and roots band Mangrove Swamp. Pack a picnic, bring the kids and make an evening of it.

Head to the kayak launch site at 64 Tennent Parade, Hurlstone Park. All paper boats and candles are provided. Numbers at the pontoon are limited, so once you’ve launched your boat, please make space for others.

Every boat is collected after the event, keeping the river clean and pollution-free!
