Immerse yourself in a day of art with activities such as the Year of the Snake live mural painting by Christina Huynh and clay flower-making with Ruth Ju-Shih Li. Explore a vibrant selection of arts and crafts at the artist stalls, showcasing a diverse lineup of local creators. In the evening, experience a unique blend of music, beats and performance as experimental sound artist salllvage (Rowan Savage) takes you on a journey through Country and hyperfutures. Conclude the day with an artist panel featuring Bankstown Biennale artists Gillian Kayrooz, Claudia Nicholson and Morgan Hogg, facilitated by Biennale curator Coby Edgar. Art Up Late: Lunar New Year Artist Market

Celebrate the Lunar New Year at Bankstown Arts Centre with a day filled with creativity and culture!

Art Up Late: Deep Time Cabaret (Ages 18+)

Experience an evening of music, beats and performance that explores the intersection of Country and hyperfutures, offering a timeless communion for the post-digital age.

salllvage (Rowan Savage), a proud Kombumerri man living on Wangal Land, is an experimental sound artist, producer and DJ. His work transforms on-Country field recordings into electronica, bridging the tensions between abstraction and emotion, the wild bush and the dancefloor, the personal and the social, authenticity and reconstruction.
