Kick off Australia Day 2026 with a full day of fun, food and festivities!
Start with pool parties at your local leisure centres for cool tunes, free ice blocks and a sausage sizzle.
Then head to Padstow’s Aussie Party in the Park for live entertainment, carnival games, amusement rides, face painting, a didgeridoo and artefacts display, boomerang decorating and plenty of food trucks — all topped off with a spectacular fireworks finale.
Enjoy a full day celebrating community and Australia Day spirit!

A community favourite is back!
Australia Day at Playford Park in Padstow is set to bring a fresh new look and an afternoon packed with live entertainment, family fun and a spectacular fireworks finale.
There will be heaps of free activities for everyone, including amusement rides, kids’ workshops, interactive games, food trucks and more, making it the perfect way to relax, celebrate and enjoy the festive atmosphere with friends and family.
The stage will be buzzing with energy throughout the afternoon, featuring DJ sets, live bands, dance performances, special appearances including Dorothy the Dinosaur and friends, and official ceremonies such as the Acknowledgement of Country and Smoking Ceremony.
Later in the evening, the crowd will be treated to a live INXS tribute show before the night wraps up with a dazzling fireworks finale.
Hosted by Picnic Point High School’s Jack Campbell and Ellen Walsh, this Australia Day event promises something for everyone to enjoy. Bring a picnic rug, soak up the atmosphere and make it a day to remember!

There is no formal seating at the front of the main stage. Grab a spot early and enjoy the show picnic-style on the grass!
